Celebrating

Valentine’s Day is officially over and we have something even bigger to celebrate!

th(2)Saturday is Cherie’s 40th birthday!!

All of us would love to be in Canada this weekend helping her celebrate, but since that isn’t possible, I decided to make an OREO dessert in her honor and share it with each of you. This dessert is a little light on the chocolate, but after the week of recipes we’ve had here, I’m about chocolated out!

001

OREO DESSERT
1 large package OREOS crushed, reserve 2/3rds cup and press the rest of crumbs into 9 x 13 pan
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. butter, softened
1 c. powder sugar
1 large whip topping
3 c. milk
2 small boxes instant vanilla pudding
1 teas. vanilla

Cream butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Add powder sugar and mix. Fold in whip topping. In separate bowl mix pudding, milk and vanilla. Once pudding mixture has thickened, stir into cream cheese mixture. Pour over crushed cookies and top with remaining cookie crumbs.

004Here’s a spoonful for you as you celebrate this special weekend with Cherie!

Happy Birthday, Cherie! I hope your birthday weekend is filled with joyous times, fun with your family and friends and wonderful new memories! You are a blessing! Welcome to the 40’s!!

I noticed how careful you were with your words as you wrote this post. No lies to apologize for and no indication of your surprise visit!
